TGJ Entry 50: Teatime in Tashkent

From Almaty we drive on west and after a few hours driving reach the infamous Kazakh-Usbek border near Tashkent. We’re through a bit quicker than last time, but it was still an ordeal…

The last time we were here, we had to rush through Usbekistan to get to the Pamir Highway, and didn’t really have time to visit anything in Tashkent. Now, with a bit more time, we finally get to visit some historic and religious places in the city, such as the Palace of Grand Duke Nicholas Constantinovich, the Monument of Independence and the Hazrati Imam Mosque.
